Ardent Steel Private Limited is the leading Pellet manufacturing company in India. The Company, incorporated under the Companies Act on 30th April 2007, is an industrial house having interest in Sponge Iron, Steel and Power, with its Registered Office at Raipur, Chhattisgarh, its Corporate Office at Keonjhar, Odisha and an office at Bhubaneswar.

The Company has established its Iron Ore Pelletisation Plant in Village / P.O. Phuljhar, Block Banspal, Tehsil Telkoi, in Keonjhar District, Odisha. The operations of the plant were started on 31/07/2010 at 0.6 MTPA, and its capacity is now 0.85 MTPA. This was a step towards value addition to the iron ore mines deposits with some soft ore in the Gandhamardhan and other nearby deposits of Keonjhar district, Odisha, one of the most iron enriched regions of the world. This plant is the first of its kind (Grate Kiln Technology) in the state. The plant uses Hematite ore from the iron ore belt of Barbil, Dist. Keonjhar. The current production of Pellets in India is approx. 60 Million Tons and is mostly being used for captive consumption. We are a Merchant Plant catering to the domestic and also the international markets. The plant is running with valid Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate from the State Pollution Control Board, Odisha.

Beneficiation

A 1.35 MTPA iron ore beneficiation plant, commissioned in the second quarter of 2025, upgrades the ore to 64% Fe. This allows the Company to produce 65% Fe pellets, a grade that few merchant pellet plants in the region can offer. Details of the high grade pellet are on the Products page.
